Installation

Caution: Lightly lubricate the camshaft position sensor O-ring with engine oil to prevent damage to the O-ring during installation. Hand start the bolt to prevent damage from cross-threading.






1. Carefully twist and push the camshaft position sensor (2) into the engine bolt (3) until seated.
2. Install the sensor mounting bolt (1) and tighten bolt to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.).






3. Connect the camshaft position sensor electrical connector.






4. Install the wiper cowl panel.
5. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten the nut to 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.).
