CAUTION: Do not use pliers and do not pull the ignition cable at an angle. Damage to the insulation, cable terminal or the spark plug may occur.

NOTE: Use the following procedure when removing the high tension cable from the spark plug. Grasp the ignition cable boot as close as possible to the spark plug. Rotate the cable boot 1/2 turn slightly and pull straight away from the spark plug in a steady motion. For the coil side grasp as close to the end of the cable boot and pull away in the same fashion.

1. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable at battery.
2. Remove ignition cables from coils.
3. Remove ignition cables from spark plugs.
