Travel Sensor - Installation
INSTALLATION
NOTE: When replacing the travel sensor, the Anti-Lock Brake Module (ABM) must be initialized using the scan tool. To initialize the ABM perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST - HEV. ABS Verification Test .
NOTE: Verify that the surface is clean, the old O-ring is removed, and the new O-ring is properly positioned on the sensor.
1. With a slight twisting motion, push the travel sensor (3) into the power brake booster (1). There should be a slight snapping sound as the retainer clip (3) seats into position.
2. Verify that the travel sensor retainer clip (3) snapped into place.
3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the travel sensor (1).
