Camshaft Position Sensor - Removal
REMOVAL- 4.0LThe Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) (1) is located at the front/top of the timing gear cover below the generator (2).
1.
Remove generator
Generator - Removal.
2.
Disconnect electrical connector (1) at CMP sensor.
3.
Remove sensor mounting bolt (3).
4.
Carefully twist sensor (2) from timing gear cover.
5.
Check condition of sensor O-ring.
