Removal

REMOVAL - 4.0L





The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor (2) is mounted into the top/front of the upper half of the intake manifold.

An O-ring is used to seal the sensor to the intake manifold.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable at battery.
2. Disconnect electrical connector (1) at sensor (2).
3. Clean area around MAP sensor.
4. Rotate sensor 1/4 turn counter-clockwise until tangs align.
5. Pull MAP sensor from intake manifold.
6. Check condition of sensor O-ring.
