Generator Decoupler - Installation






INSTALLATION





1. Thread decoupler pulley onto generator shaft by hand (right-hand threads).
2. Position Special Tool 8433ATools and Equipment into decoupler. Align tool to hex end of generator shaft.

CAUTION: Do not use an adjustable, ratchet "click type" torque wrench. Most "click type" torque wrenches will only allow torque to be applied in a clockwise rotation. Use a dial-type or beam-type torque wrench.

3. Tighten in direction as shown to 110 Nm (81 ft. lbs).
4. Install generator to engine. Refer to Generator - Installation.





5. Connect negative battery cable. Tighten to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.)
