Cylinder Head Assembly

CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY




NOTE: Left side shown, right side similar.

Tighten the retaining bolts.
Tighten bolts 1-10 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
Tighten bolts 11-15 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
Tighten bolts 1-10 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
Verify bolts 11-15 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
Tighten bolts 1-10 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
Rotate bolts 1-10 additional 90 degrees.
Tighten bolts 11-15 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).






CAUTION: Pushrods and rocker arm assemblies must be installed in their original locations or engine damage could result.






WARPAGE

Inspect the cylinder head for flatness.
If tolerances exceed 0.0508 mm (0.002 in.) replace the cylinder head.
