Shaft Lock Module - Installation






INSTALLATION

NOTE: Before attempting service, the ignition key must be inside the vehicle near or on the center console for the entire length of the procedure.





1. Connect the shaft lock connector to the module.
2. Align the engagement and slide tabs (2) on the shaft lock module housing (1) with the slots and channels in the mounting bracket (3) on the steering column.
3. Carefully slide the module toward the top (steering wheel end) of the column until it is in mounted position and the spring clips on the module have engaged the bracket, locking it in place.





4. Install the steering column cover reinforcement (1) using the four mounting screws (2).
5. Install the steering column opening cover. Steering Column Opening Cover - Installation.

NOTE: If a NEW column lock module has been installed, a new Radio Frequency Hub (RF Hub) must also be installed.
