Procedures
INSPECTION 1.
Bottom out both side gears flat in the case pockets.
NOTE: Be sure that both gears are parallel and not tipped or cocked in any manner. If measurement is taken with the gears tipped or cocked, the reading will be inaccurate. 2.
Measure between the differential side gears (1).
3.
If the measurement is greater than 42.25mm (1.66 in.), the LSD Case assembly must be replaced.
