Generator - Installation

1. Position the generator (1) onto the engine mounting bracket.

2. Install the two upper mounting bolts (2) and the lower mounting bolt to generator (1). Tighten bolts to 42 Nm (31 ft. lbs.).

3. Connect the field wire connector (3) to the generator.

4. Install B+ terminal and nut to generator mounting stud. Tighten nut to 10 Nm (88.5 in. lbs.)

5. Snap the plastic protective cover over the B+ terminal.





6. Install the accessory drive belt Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.

7. Install the engine cooling fan assembly Cooling Fan - Installation.

8. Install the engine oil dipstick tube.

9. Install the air cleaner body Air Cleaner Body - Installation.





10. Connect negative battery cable (2), tighten nut (1) to 4.5 Nm (40 in. lbs.).

11. Start the engine and verify the generator is functioning properly.
