Thermal Bowl Vent Valve
CARBURETED ENGINES
The thermal bowl vent valve is located in the vent line between the carburetor fuel bowl and the charcoal canister. This valve is designed to close below a calibrated temperature trapping fuel vapors in the fuel bowl. The fuel vapors trapped in the fuel bowl will condense, providing added fuel for cold engine starting. At temperature above the calibrated temperature, the valve will open and allow fuel vapors to flow to the charcoal canister.
