Instrument Panel Headlamp Switch Bezel

REMOVAL

WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, SEAT BELT TENSIONER, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE BATTERY NEGATIVE (GROUND) CABLE, THEN WAIT TWO MINUTES FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE BEFORE PERFORMING FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.




1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, disengage the top retainer clips on the steering column opening cover and the lower drivers side bezel.
3. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, disengage the retainer clips that secure the headlamp switch bezel (1) to the instrument panel (2).
4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (3) from the headlamp switch (4) and remove the switch bezel.

INSTALLATION




1. Position the headlamp switch bezel (1) to the instrument panel (2).
2. Connect the wire harness connector (3) to the headlamp switch (4).
3. Install the switch bezel onto the instrument panel and fully engage the retainer clips.
4. fully engage the retainer clips on the steering column opening cover and the lower drivers side bezel.
5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
