Heating and Air Conditioning: Description and Operation

This system maintains the selected temperature level within the vehicle while permitting the selection of various modes of operation. In cold weather, the system automatically moves the blend air door to provide heat, and in warm weather, the door movement provides cool and/or dehumidified air at the preset temperature.
After the desired temperature setting and push-button mode is selected, the system will cool or heat in varying degrees, according to interior temperature, ambient temperature and temperature control setting. Temperature control is not obtainable in Max A/C, since the water valve is closed and no water flows through the heater core while air is recirculated on the inside of the vehicle.
