Bowl Vent Valve

This adjustment is not precise and is only necessary to ensure that themechanical fuel bowl vent is open at idle and closed at greater throttle openings.
1. Remove rollover check valve from air horn to provide access to metering rodarea.
2. Open throttle and place fast idle speed screw on high step of cam.
3. Move cam manually until fast idle speed screw drops into second step offast idle cam. Observe the bowl vent which should just begin to open at thistime.
4. If valve is not closed on high, fourth or third steps of cam, bend valve tab, (A) Fig. 9, until it is closed.
5. If valve does not begin to open with fast idle speed screw on second stepof cam, bend tab until it is just off its seat.
