Voltage Signal: Description and Operation

The Engine Control Unit (ECU) constantly monitors battery voltage. This is done to ensure that a proper voltage signal is being sent to the injectors. When battery voltage varies, the ECU changes the injector pulse width to compensate for the voltage variation in injector opening time.
