Distributor: Description and Operation
The
distributor houses the crank angle and top dead center sensor (which monitors crankshaft speed and position), ignition coil, and power transistor. The distributor also distributes coil high voltage secondary output through the rotor and
distributor cap and spark plug wires to the
spark plugs.
