A. SNAP RING INSTALLATION

Using the special tool, install the snap ring.

Caution: Check that the snap ring is seated firmly in the groove.




B. SNAP RING INSTALLATION

First install the snap ring and then check if the gap between the snap ring and clutch reaction plate reaches the standard value. When measuring the gap, press the circumference of the clutch reaction plate firmly with a force of 50 Nm (11 lbs.). If the gap is outside the standard value, select a snap ring and adjust until it reaches the standard value.

Standard value:

0.4 -0.65 mm (.016 - .0260 in.) F4A22
0.6 -0.85 mm (.024 - .0335 in.) F4A23, AWD
