Vehicle Damage Warnings

1. Grease or any other foreign material must be kept off the caliper, linings, surfaces of the disc and external surfaces of the hub, during brake service procedures. Care should be taken when handling a brake disc, pad or caliper to avoid deformation, nicking or scratching of the disc, caliper and brake linings.
2. If inspection reveals that the rubber piston seals are worn or damaged, they must be replaced.
3. During removal and installation of a wheel assembly, be careful not to damage the caliper splash shield or bleeder screw.
4. Wheel bearings must be adjusted to specifications.
5. Be sure vehicle is centered on hoist, before servicing any of the front end components to avoid bending or damaging the disc splash shield, on full right or left wheel turns.
6. Before the vehicle is moved, after any brake service work, be sure to obtain a firm brake pedal.
7. Caliper housing assembly bolts (of a two piece caliper) should not be separated, unless the caliper requires service.
