Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

High Pressure Elecric Fuel Pump:

REMOVAL
1. Access fuel pump by removing the rear seat and RH inspection cover plates.

Main Fuel Tank Fuel Gauge Connector (AWD):

2. Disconnect the hoses, connector and 6 fasteners. Remove pump as an assembly, by lifting and turning to clear opening.

INSTALLATION

Fuel Pump Positioning Projections:

1. Install the gasket, taking care to properly align it with the positioning tabs.
2. As the fuel pump is re-installed, align the positioning tabs with the holes in the fuel pump. Care should be taken at this time to insure that the gasket is properly seated.

Torque value:
2 - 3 ft.lbs. (1.4 - 2.2 Nm)
