Throttle Full Close Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. With the accelerator pedal released, check that the throttle valve lever and the Idle Position Switch make contact.
If they do not, adjust the Fixed Speed Adjustment Screw. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.

Idle Position Switch:

2. Disconnect the Throttle Position Sensor connector.
3. Check for continuity between the connector terminal and body ground.
^ While the accelerator pedal is depressed, continuity should NOT exist.
^ While the accelerator pedal is released, continuity should exist.

4. If faulty, replace the Idle Position Switch.
