Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair
Exhaust System Component Locations:
1. Remove lower heat shield from catalytic converter.
2. Remove catalytic converter hangar bracket.
3. Remove two front mounting bolts and two rear mounting nuts from the catalytic converter.
4. Move the tailpipe and muffler rearward and remove the converter from the vehicle.
5. Reinstall using new gaskets, torquing exhaust nuts and bolts to 36 ft-lbs (50 Nm).
