Fillpipe Restrictor Dowel

Tool For Checking Fillpipe Restrictor:

PURPOSE
Used to test the opening of the fillpipe restrictor for proper size. The fillpipe restrictor opening must be large enough to to accept any unleaded gas pump nozzle, but small enough to prevent use of leaded gasoline pump nozzles.

CONSTRUCTION
Special tools are available to check the size of the fillpipe restrictor. If you don't have one, you can make one as shown, using a metal pipe or wooden dowel rod.

OPERATION
Insert small end of tool into fillpipe restrictor. It should not fit (do not force.)
