Heater Core: Service and Repair

Remove heater unit in numbered sequence, noting the following:
1. Drain engine coolant.

2. Remove floor console as shown.
3. Remove instrument panel, refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/ Instrument Panel/ Service and Repair.
4. Remove evaporator assembly refer to EVAPORATOR CORE.
5. To prevent bolts from falling into blower assembly, set air selection damper to outside air introduction.

6. Remove plate on heater unit.
7. Pull heater core from heater unit. Do not damage fin or pad part of heater core.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
