Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

Oxygen (O2) Sensor Location:

Removal
1. Disconnect the harness terminal.
2. Remove the sensor with a suitable socket or wrench.

Oxygen Sensor:

Installation
1. Apply a thin coating of anti-seize compound to the threads.

Note: Do Not contaminate the sensor tip with compound.

2. Install the sensor and torque to 29-36 ft lb (30 - 49 Nm).
3. Apply a thin coating of dielectric compound to the connector.
4. Connect harness terminal.
