Neutral Safety Switch: Adjustments

Inhibitor Switch & Control Cable


1. Place selector lever in N range.
2. Loosen two control cable-to-manual control lever adjusting nuts, then place manual control lever in the N position.
3. Rotate inhibitor switch body until alignment hole on end of manual control lever aligns with switch body flange hole.
4. Tighten two switch attaching bolts without disturbing switch position.
5. Ensure selector lever is shifted to N range, then remove slack from control cable and torque adjusting nuts to 7-9 lb-ft. Ensure proper operation of control lever.
