Transmission Control Systems: Adjustments


1. Turn up carpet under clutch pedal.

2. Measure clutch pedal height and clutch pedal clevis pin play

3. If pedal height is outside standard limits, loosen locknut and adjust pedal height using adjusting bolt.
4. If clutch pedal play is outside standard limits, adjust with push rod.

5. After completing adjustments, confirm pedal freeplay and distance between clutch pedal and firewall (with clutch disengaged) are within specifications.
6. If these measurements are not within specifications, it may be the result of air trapped in the hydraulic system or a faulty master cylinder and/or clutch.

Ensure the interlock switch is as shown when the clutch pedal is depressed at its full stroke. If necessary, loosen locknut to adjust switch.
