IGNITION TIMING

VEHICLES:
1979 STRADA AND X1/9 MODELS

CONDITION:
Improper setting of the ignition timing

CAUSE:
Possible shifting of the ignition timing pointer at the crankshaft pulley.

SERVICE INFORMATION:




To ensure that the setting of the ignition timing is correct, check the timing marks at both.

^ The crankshaft pulley
^ Flywheel (Bell Housing)

The ignition timing specifications are:

^ Standard Transmission - 5° at 800-850 RPM

^ Automatic Transmission - 5° at 700-750 RPM
