Fuel Pump Module - Removal

WARNING:
The fuel system may be under a constant pressure (even with the engine off). Before servicing the fuel pump module, the fuel system pressure must be released.



1. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

3. Remove the rear lower seat mounting bolts (3).

4. Carefully remove the cushion (1) assembly past the seat belt latches.

5. Locate the fuel pump module access cover (2).





6. Remove the fuel pump module access cover (1) by removing the screws (2).

7. Disconnect the fuel pump module wiring connector (4).





8. Disconnect the fuel lines Service and Repair.





9. Remove the fuel pump module locking ring (3) using SAE Fuel Pump Lock Ring Wrench (9340) (2).

10. Remove the fuel pump module (4) from the fuel tank and discard the seal (gasket).
