Generator - Installation





INSTALLATION





1. Carefully position the generator (3) up to the engine block.
2. Loosely install the bottom two generator mounting retainers (2).
3. Install the top generator mounting retainer (1).
4. Tighten the generator mounting retainers to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the generator B+ cable on the generator stud.
6. Install the B+ cable retainer, and tighten to 4 Nm (36 In. lbs.).
7. Connect the field generator harness Connector.





8. Install the right side axle shaft (1).





9. Install the belly pan (1) covering the bottom side of the engine compartment.
10. Lower the vehicle.





11. Install the accessory drive belt Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.
12. Connect the negative battery cable.
13. Start the engine and verify the generator is operating properly.
