Front Door Glass - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Raise the window glass into the fully up position.
2. Remove the door panel, Front Door Trim Panel - Removal.
3. Remove the weather shield from the door.
4. Remove the inner belt molding (1).





5. Temporarily install the window switch pod, reconnect the negative battery cable and lower the window until the white regulator tab is visible in the access hole (1).
6. Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the window switch pod.





7. Remove the weather strip (1).





8. With the help of an assistant holding the glass, release the window regulator tab (1) and lift the window (2) up to disengage.
9. Lift the window up and secure it with tape or a wedge to prevent it from falling.





10. Remove the top retaining nut (1) that secures the rear glass run to the door.





11. Remove the bottom retaining nut (2) that secures the rear glass run to the door.
12. Remove the rear glass run (1) from the door through the lower rear access hole.





13. Remove the retaining nuts (1) that secures the front glass run (2) to the door.
14. Remove the front glass run (2) through the speaker cavity.





15. With the help of an assistant holding the glass, remove the tape or wedge securing the glass.
16. Lower the window (1) slightly.
17. Raise the rear portion of the window and remove the window (1) from the door.
