Test 3, Module Voltage

Module voltage test connections:

1. With ignition ``Off,'' install a straight pin into module red wire, Fig. 4. Connect a suitable voltmeter positive lead to straight pin and ground negative lead to distributor base. Turn ignition ``On'' and measure voltage. Do not allow straight pin to contact engine ground.
2. If reading obtained is 90% of battery voltage or greater, module voltage is satisfactory. Proceed to test 4.
3. If reading obtained is less than 90% of battery voltage, inspect ignition switch and wiring between ignition switch and module, repair as necessary.
