DTC Possible Causes and Diagnostic Aides


DTC P1000 does not indicate a fault exists in the vehicle. DTC P1000 is retrieved when an emission related concern has been fixed and will be stored in memory until all emission related systems have been monitored via a Drive Cycle.

It is not necessary to remove the DTC P1000 from the PCM by driving the vehicle unless it is requested by the customer to pass an inspection/maintenance test or if local laws require it.

Inform the customer of the need for additional driving when required to pass an inspection/maintenance test.
