Installation

NOTE: Do not tighten any nuts or bolts until the rear suspension is raised so that the rear suspension lower arms are parallel to the ground. Once in position, tighten all the nuts and bolts to specification.

1. Position the spring if vehicle is not equipped with air suspension. Raise the rear axle assembly.





2. Position the two rear suspension upper arm assemblies to the rear axle assembly and install the bolts.





3. Position the two rear suspension lower arm assemblies to the rear axle assembly and install the bolts.





4. Position trackbar assembly to the rear axle assembly and install the bolt.





5. Position the two shock absorbers to the rear axle assembly and install the bolts.





6. Position the two stabilizer bar retainers to the rear axle assembly and install the bolts.





7. Connect the rear axle assembly vent tube.





8. Install the disc brake calipers.
(1) Position the disc brake calipers.
(2) Install the bolts.





9. Connect parking brake cables to the rear axle assembly.
(1) Connect the cable to the parking brake lever.
(2) Connect the rear parking brake cable and conduit to the axle bracket assembly.
- Repeat for the other side.





10. Remove the parking brake control retainer.
(1) Pull the front parking brake cable and conduit.
(2) Remove the parking brake control retainer.





11. Connect the rear brake anti-lock sensor (ABS) electrical connector.





12. Position the rear driveshaft and align the marks o the rear axle companion flange.





13. Install the four driveshaft bolts.





14. Install the tire and wheel assemblies.
(1) Position the tire and wheel assemblies.
(2) Install the lug nuts and lower the vehicle.
(3) Tighten the lug nuts.
(4) Install the center caps.

NOTE: If equipped with air suspension, reactivate the system by turning on the air suspension switch.
