KEY PROGRAMMING - SPARE KEY

NOTE: Before starting this procedure, make sure the key(s) you want to program have the correct mechanical cut.

NOTE: Performing this procedure does not erase existing programmed keys.

1. Insert the programmed key in the ignition. Turn to RUN.

2. THEFT indicator proves out after two seconds.

3. Remove the programmed key

4. Withing 15 seconds, insert the new key in the ignition and turn to RUN.

5. THEFT indicator proves out after two seconds.

6. The extra key is now programmed.



KEY PROGRAMMING - NEW KEY (With Diagnostic Tool)

NOTE: Before starting this procedure, make sure the key(s) you want to program have the correct mechanical cut.

1. Plug in NGS tester (requires V10 cb2 card)
(Or use V8.0 or higher and select DN101 4V as vehicle)

2. Turn the unprogrammed key to RUN.

3. THEFT indicator proves out after 2 seconds and then flashes rapidly.

4. Enter Diagnostic Data Link Mode. Press TRIGGER.

5. Press CANCEL to bypass self test.

6. Select PATS from menu. Press TRIGGER.

7. Select FUNCTION TESTS. Press TRIGGER.

8. Select IGNITION KEY - CODE ERASE. Press TRIGGER twice.

9. TEST IN PROGRESS will display on the screen.

10. After 8 minutes, TEST COMPLETE will display on screen. All keys are now erased.

11. Turn the key to OFF, and then back to RUN.

12. THEFT indicator proves out after 2 seconds.

13. PATS key is now programmed.

14. Additional keys may be programmed using the Key Programming- Spare Key Procedure.



KEY PROGRAMMING - NEW KEY (Without Diagnostic Tool)

NOTE: Before starting this procedure, make sure the key(s) your want to program have the correct mechanical cut.

1. Insert the nonprogrammed key in the ignition and turn to RUN.

2. THEFT indicator proves out after 2 seconds and then flashes rapidly.

3. After 15 minutes of flashing, the THEFT indicator will stop flashing.

4. Within 5 minutes after the THEFT indicator has stopped flashing, turn the ignition key to OFF and back to RUN.

5. THEFT indicator proves out after 2 seconds and then flashes rapidly.

6. After 15 minutes of flashing, the THEFT indicator will stop flashing.

7. Within 4 minutes after the THEFT indicator has stopped flashing, turn the ignition key to OFF and back to RUN.

8. After 15 minutes of flashing the THEFT indicator will stop flashing.

9. All originally programmed keys are now erased, and the key in the ignition is now programmed.
