Exhaust System: Service and Repair

Exhaust System Alignment
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Loosen all exhaust component fasteners from the exhaust manifold(s) to the muffler inlet pipe.

3. NOTE: Make sure the exhaust isolators are not worn, damaged or binding.

Beginning at the front of the vehicle, align the exhaust system to establish maximum clearance.

4. Beginning at the front of the vehicle, tighten all fasteners to specification.
5. Start the engine and check the exhaust system for leaks.
