Attachment III - Technical Information

REASON FOR THIS SUPPLEMENT

The last 6.4L PCM calibration described in Supplement 2 on August 3, 2007 has been updated. IDS software release 50.7 Patch 7 or later must now be used. This release contains updates for the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the Instrument Cluster (IC).

The safety concern addressed by this recall is repaired with any of the calibrations that have been released since this program launched on March 22, 2007. It is not necessary to reprogram vehicles that were previously serviced under this recall. There is also a new customer information sheet posted with this supplement that dealership service management must provide to customers who receive this service.

NOTE:
Vehicles previously serviced under 07849 do not need to be reprogrammed again.
