Fig. 11 Heater core removal. Less air conditioning:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
2. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core and plug all open lines and fittings to prevent spillage.
3. Remove glove box and liner and move temperature lever to warm position.
4. Remove heater core cover, then working from engine compartment, loosen two nuts attaching heater case assembly to dash panel.
5. Push heater core toward passenger compartment, then pull heater core through glove box opening and remove from vehicle, Fig. 11.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
