Pick-Up Coil: Testing and Inspection

TFI Ignition System Stator Assembly Test Connections:

Procedure
1. Remove distributor, then remove ignition module.
2. Inspect stator wiring, wire connections and ground screw.
3. Using a suitable ohmmeter, measure stator resistance, Fig. 6.
4. If resistance is 650---1300 ohms, stator is satisfactory. Replace ignition module. If readings are out of specifications, ignition module is satisfactory. Replace stator assembly.
