Computers and Control Systems: Tools and Equipment

The following special test equipment is required to perform any tests, other than tests of individual system components, on the EEC III system: Rotunda T79L-50, T80L-50 or equivalent.
Before a problem is traced to the EEC III system several pre-check procedures should be performed. These are as follows:
1. Inspect all vacuum hoses for proper routing, cracks and connections to fittings.
2. Inspect for brakes and pinching of all hoses and fittings.
3. Inspect EEC III system wiring harness for proper connections, corrosion, broken or frayed wires and loose connections.
4. Check ECA, sensors, actuators and pulse ring lobes for damage.
5. Check crankshaft position sensor for proper seating.
