DIESEL (6.9L) - REVISED TORQUE LIMITS AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS


LIGHT TRUCKS 1983 E & F SERIES

Torque procedures have been revised for the following engine components:

Figure 21:

^ Cylinder Head Bolts (Figure 21)

Figure 22:

^ Valve Cover Screws (Figure 22)

Figure 23:

^ Exhaust Manifold Bolts (Figure 23)

Figure 24:

^ Intake Manifold Bolts (Figure 24)












In addition, general specifications have been revised for the cylinder head, valve rocker arm shaft, push rods, tappets, valves, camshaft drive, cylinder block, crankshaft, flywheel, connecting rod, piston, piston rings, piston pin, oil pump, oil cooler and oil seal journals.
These revisions should be inserted on pages 22-08-56 through 22-08-60 of your 1983 Light Truck Shop Manual.
