��YFig. 8 Typical radio replacement:





1. Disconnect battery ground cable (two ground cables on diesel engines).
2. Remove control knobs and discs from radio shafts, Fig. 8.
3. Remove 2 steering column shroud attaching screws and the shroud.
4. Remove lower instrument panel trim.
5. Remove 8 instrument cluster trim cover attaching screws and the trim cover.
6. Remove 4 radio mounting plate attaching screws, then slide radio with bracket and mounting plate out of dash.
7. Disconnect all electrical connectors from radio, then remove rear support attaching nut.
8. Remove nuts, washers and mounting plate from radio shafts.
9. Remove radio from vehicle.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
