OIL PAN (2.9L) - REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - SHOP MANUAL REVISION

LIGHT TRUCK 1986 RANGER, BRONCO II

The procedures for 2.9L oil pan removal and installation on pages 21-20-19 and 20 of the 1986 Ranger/Bronco II Shop Manual inadvertantiy omitted the crankcase baffle during the operations. The Shop Manual states that the oil pump and pickup tube assembly should be removed and lowered into the oil pan, then removal of the oil pan. On installation, the process is reversed. The following revised Shop Manual pages show the correct steps for removal and installation of the oil pan.

NOTE: Labor operations 6675A and 6781A already include time to perform this step.
