Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair


1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assemblies.
2. Remove caliper mounting bolts. It is not necessary to disconnect the brake lines for this operation.
3. Slide caliper off of disc, inserting a spacer between the shoes to hold them in their bores after the caliper is removed. Position caliper assembly out of the way. Do not allow caliper to hang by brake hose.
4. Remove hub and disc assembly. Grease retainer and inner bearing can now be removed.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
