SEATS - JUMPSEAT INSTALLATION


LIGHT TRUCK 1986 RANGER SUPERCAB

The purpose of this article is to provide information on how to install center facing jump seats in Supercabs without a rear seat

1. Remove both inner body side trim panels.

2. Peel back the insulation near the bottom of the panel and cut along the visible lines with a sabre saw or drill grinder using normal shop safety procedures. (See Figure 15)
3. Reinstall the side panels.

4. Peel back the carpeting, remove and discard the rubber plugs in the floor pan.

5. Attach seat belts to seats. (See Figure 16)

6. Attach seats and belt to floor. (See Figure 17)

7. Cut carpeting to fit over seat brackets.

8. Assemble cover over seat mechanism. (See Figure 18)
