Measurement Specification

Engines may be encountered with oversize tappets (all eight) and/or an oversized camshaft. Oversize tappets will be identified by a stamping .254 OT'' on the machined pad below the rocker arm rail and above the No.1 exhaust port. Oversize camshaft will be identified by a stamping .38O/C'' on the cover rail above the No. 4 exhaust port and by stamping .38 O/S'' on the distributor drive end of the camshaft.

Camshaft Journal Diameter	- Note: Standard, 1.8007-1.8017 inches; oversize, 1.8156-1.8166 inches.
Camshaft Bearing Inside Diameter	- Note: Standard, 1.8030-1.8040.
