Duraspark II

TIMING ADJUSTMENT
- Place transmission in Neutral or Park with A/C Heater in off position.
- Plug vacuum hoses from the distributor vacuum advance connection at the distributor.



- Connect an inductive timing light.
- Connect a tachometer.



- If the vehicle is equipped with a barometric pressure (ignition module number -12A243-) disconnect it from the ignition module and place a jumper wire across the pins at the ignition module connector (yellow and black wires).
- Start engine and allow to reach operating temperature.



- With engine at timing rpm, check or adjust initial timing to specification. Specifications
- Unplug and reconnect vacuum hoses.
- Remove jumper from ignition connector and reconnect if applicable.
