Standard Wipers

BRONCO & F-100-350
High Speed Test
1. Turn ignition switch on and place wiper switch in high position.
2. Check for voltage at circuit 56 pin (blue/orange wire) at 4-way connector.
3. If there is no voltage at 56 pin, check voltage at circuit 297 pin (black/green wire) at wiper switch.
4. If there is voltage at 297 but no voltage at 56, replace wiper switch.
5. If there is no voltage at 297, trace circuit to source.
6. If there is voltage at 56 and motor does not run, ground motor case to body. If motor runs, repair ground. If motor does not run, repair or replace motor.
Low Speed Test
1. Turn ignition switch on and place wiper switch in low position.
2. Check for voltage at circuit 58 pin (white wire) at 4-way connector.
3. If there is no voltage, check voltage at circuit 297 pin (black/green wire) at wiper switch.
4. If there is voltage at 297 but no voltage at 58, replace wiper switch.
5. If there is no voltage at 297, trace circuit to source.
6. If there is voltage at 58 but motor does not run, ground motor case to body. If motor runs, repair ground. If motor does not run, repair or replace motor.
Park Operation Test
1. Turn ignition switch on and place wiper switch in off position.
2. Check for voltage at circuits 58 (white wire), 28 (black/pink dot wire), and 63 (red wire) pins at 4-way connector.
3. If there is voltage at all three circuits and wipers are not parked, ground motor case to body. If wipers park, repair ground. If wipers do not park, repair or replace motor.
4. If there is voltage only at 63, replace wiper motor.
5. If there is voltage only at 63 and 28, replace wiper switch.
6. If there is still no voltage at 58, trace circuits 28 and 58 back toward wiper switch.
