Neutral Safety Switch: Adjustments

C5 UNITS
1. Loosen neutral safety switch attaching bolts, then position manual lever in Park position.
2. Insert a {3/32} inch drill into switch. Move switch as needed to allow drill to rest against case, Fig. 3.
3. Torque switch attaching bolts to 55---75 inch lbs., then remove drill from switch.




A4LD UNITS
1. Disconnect battery ground cable(s).
2. Disconnect neutral start switch electrical harness from switch.
3. Using a suitable tool, remove neutral start switch and O-ring.
4. Install new switch and O-ring.
5. Torque switch to 7---10 ft. lbs.
6. Connect neutral start switch electrical harness on to switch.
7. Connect battery ground cable(s) and check switch operation.
