TRIM - EXTERIOR - ADHESIVE-BACKED NAME PLATE/EMBLEMS - LOOSE/MISSING

FORD 1986-87 ESCORT, EXP, TEMPO, TAURUS, MUSTANG, LTD, THUNDERBIRD, CROWN VICTORIA

LINCOLN-MERCURY 1986-87 LYNX, TOPAZ, SABLE, CAPRI, MARQUIS, COUGAR, GRAND MARQUIS, CONTINENTAL, MARK VII, LINCOLN TOWN CAR

If an adhesive-backed name plate or emblem is loose or missing, the following is the recommended replacement procedure:

1. Obtain new replacement name plate or emblem.

WARNING: WORK IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA AWAY FROM SPARKS OR FLAMES.

2. Clean the vehicle surface with isopropyl alcohol. Make sure that the surface is dry and clean.

3. Peel off the protective backing paper from a new replacement name plate or emblem. Do not touch the exposed tape surface. Press the new part firmly to the body. Do not apply parts at a temperature below 51~F (10~C).
