ISSUE: Revised service procedures for the installation of a new NVH rocker arm cover and the use of a new RTV sealant for both rocker arm cover and oil pan will require modifications to the 1988-1989 Tempo/Topaz/Escort Shop Manual, pages 21-08-7, 8, and 9 and 1986-1989 Taurus/Sable Shop Manual, page 21-10-5.

ACTION: Refer to the pages following this TSB article for the revised service procedures and illustrations. This information should be inserted in your 1988-1989 Tempo/Topaz/Escort Shop Manual, pages 21-08-7, 21-08-8, 21-08-9, and your 1986-1989 Taurus/Sable Shop Manual, page 21-10-5.
